Commodities Trading

Energy, agriculture, & metals items are all commodities. These items are sold on futures markets, and their value is determined by demand and supply factors. In the case of agriculture, supply factors include weather, whereas, in the case of mining and energy, supply features include extraction expenses.

Commodity demand is often influenced by wider factors such as economic cycles and population increase. Commodities can be bought and sold separately or in pairs.

Agriculture futures contracts are traded as stand-alone contracts, whereas metals and energies are exchanged against major currencies.
